LEARNING FOR LIFE REACHES SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE BY TRANSFORMING OVER 100,000 LIVES

On November 4, Diageo will celebrate the success of Learning for Life, a global training program developed by Diageo in 2008 to help individuals across regions develop their skills and build career opportunities. Today, the program has transformed the lives of over 100,000 individuals across 35 countries.

Learning for Life is an innovative initiative as a result of its commitment to bringing long-term value to all those involved with the program, by providing the skills which will enable them to support their future working life. At the core of Diageo’s sustainability strategy, Learning for Life is an investment in individuals struggling for opportunity.

“We are proud of the progress of this truly transformative program. Every day we are able to support the lives of thousands of people by providing them with the skills and training to find employment and make a better future for themselves and their families. In doing this, we are supporting the growth of local economies, on a global scale,” said Janelle Prieto, Global Skills & Empowerment Manager.

All Diageo markets operating a Learning for Life program will be hosting local celebrations on November 4 in recognition of the more than 100,000 lives the program has helped to transform.
